A Program Built Around You
What will help you thrive and grow — both personally and professionally — for years to come? Our goal is to strengthen your foundation for lasting success while creating space to reconnect with the passion that led you into veterinary medicine in the first place. This program is designed to meet you where you are — to help you explore, heal, and evolve as a healer yourself.
Growth isn’t a race or a checklist — it’s a process of reflection, discovery, and realignment. The more open and honest you are with yourself, the more you’ll gain.
Structure and Investment
- Recommended time: 2 hours per week focused on both personal and professional development
- Program length: 10–30 hours spread over several months
- How to Apply: Fill out an application and receive an endorsement. Both an application and an endorsement are required.

An Integrative Approach
Dr. Denette Cooke, DVM, CVA, CVMMP, CVBMA has studied integrative and alternative medicine for over 20 years. Her mentorship combines Western case management with insights from herbal medicine, acupuncture, and chiropractic care, providing practical, real-world applications you can use immediately.
You’ll also explore the deeper side of healing — learning to recognize patterns in both people and animals through the principles of Yin-Yang balance and Five Element theory. Learning to see patterns inside of yourself as well as others.
Growth isn’t a race or a checklist — it’s a process of reflection, discovery, and realignment. The more open and honest you are with yourself, the more you’ll gain.
A New Way of Seeing
As veterinarians and healers, we intuitively read the body language of our patients. We know when the Rottweiler in the room might need an extra layer of calm or caution.
Now imagine being able to read that same energy in your clients, your team, and even yourself — to sense imbalance before conflict arises.
That awareness changes everything.

Key Elements of Effective Mentorships
Trust and Open Communication
A successful relationship is built on trust, authenticity, and a safe space for mentees to be vulnerable and share ideas without judgment.
Mutual Respect and Openness
Both mentor and mentee should engage in honest, respectful dialogue, even when discussing differing views, leading to critical assessment and new insights.
Clear Goals
Both parties should have a clear understanding of the goals of the relationship, allowing the mentor to provide targeted support and the mentee to take ownership of their progress.
Two-Way Learning
Mentees gain advice, motivation, and resources from the mentor's experience, while mentors benefit from new perspectives and current ideas from the mentee.
Commitment and Engagement
Both mentor and mentee must commit to the relationship and make a genuine effort to show up, participate thoughtfully, and respect boundaries.
